Random Thoughts on the Current Chaos

-- snip --

The General Election: If Trump is nominated, he beats Hillary. He creates a movement, a cultural buzz and novelty that overwhelms the doddering, ancient. Libfascist, pantsuited, pervert-enabling harpy. And then he proceeds to be a marginally less terrible president than she would have been.

And you do not understand the tactics of the commie left. The only reason Cruz gasnt faced this yet is because his crowds are smaller and the left is focused on trump

Don’t think it won’t happen to whomever the republican nominee is

This was a direct attacl on EVERYONE. To blame trump is flatly idiotic and plays right into the hands of the PC speech police

Can you even read? Those are not HIS WORDS. It is this crap that turned me completely off Trump, not so much what he says, but the dishonest arguments coming from many of his supporters.

As far as LOGIC goes the 2 statements are IDENTICAL, now emotionally they are totally different.

Yes those are his words. The statements are identical

Trump is an asshole for pretending he isn’t at least partly responsible for the chaos/violence at his recent rallies. His denial makes him look totally foolish.

Really? In this country we have very mature legal doctrines for assigning liability: particularly for criminal violence.

Which of those doctrines, laws, or regulations did Trump violate?

Is this the best we can do???

Theoretically, no. As a practical matter, it's the only choice we go.

“No one (including me) is accusing Trump of FORCING people to act like animals.”

The cover you butt part

” But he is inflaming the situation.”

The he’s making them act like animals because words restating.

How about this?

“these people have no right nor business to engage in this type of uncivilized behavior because they don’t like what someone said. You cannot be inflamed by words, you can only take offense and then irrationaly act in a foolish way that in the end shows you to be the villain.”

I know, that is just like Sci-fi stuff right there. Better to blame Trump, while pretending like you aren’t.

I am not a lefty and I agree that Trump is at least partially responsible for encouraging that behavior.

NEWSFLASH: our legal system wisely does not recognize ANY responsibility for "encouraging" a behavior.

You would be wise to do the same.

No one said he broke a law. Come on folks. Stop this “I don’t believe my lying eyes (and ears) attitude.” If you (plural not just you PT) can’t see that some of Trumps angry (yes angry!) rhetoric is at least partly to blame for the chaos, then I guess we are all just blindly drinking the koolaid. Look, he’ll get my vote when the time comes. Don’t mistake my aggravation for complete disapproval. After all, in my first statement I said it’s LIBERALS causing the disturbances. I just wish Trump would hold his head higher and make his points with a little bit of Presidential dignity. Take a page from Ronald Reagan instead of Jerry Springer.........

Wrong! Trump loves this country. He will do everything possible to keep his pledges for an American Future. His instincts are as right as Hillary's are wrong. (See Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.)

Suggestion:

At Trump Rallies, why not sing the final verse (4th) of the Star Spangled Banner-the one that answers the query in the earlier verses. Nothing is more inspirational & patriotic:

Oh thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a Nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: In God is our trust.
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I agree. But the GOP Establishment will side with Hillary against either Trump or Cruz.

Our FIRST enemies are RINOs who are the near leftists who protect and fund the far leftists.

You have bought the disgusting Leftwing narrative that the victim of intimidation tactics, rather than the advocate of intimidation tactics, is responsible.

Trump's greatest political achievement, thus far, is to have demonstrated the absurdity of the "politically correct" mindset. These tactics of intimidation by the Left are designed to bring the nightmare of a fear to speak truth, back down upon us.

We need to rally around Trump. We need to stand with Trump in this!

///Nothing about Trump’s background indicates that he has a sense of the Rule of Law, the separation of powers, or a concept of a limited government. ////

Your comments are some of the more cerebral I’ve read this AM.

If it’s any consolation, I do believe Trump believes in the rule of law. He maintains an army of lawyers to advise him on his business dealings. I do not deny that he uses the law to his advantage, but he obviously accepts its constraints.

While not a constitutional scholar by any stretch, he has referred to supreme court rulings as the “law of the land.” He has lately discussed working with Ryan and hopes to maintain the current GOP majorities.

His egotism bothers me at times but I try to mollify it by wondering, would Gen George Patton approve?

No. The problem is you are adopting the mentality of some "good old boy" getting a divorce and saying "that judge can't take away everything I've worked so hard for!"

Well, the fact is "yes," he can!

In like manner, no one bears ANY responsibility for the criminal acts of another. It doesn't matter if they offer to pay legal bills, persuade you to hurt them: nothing. You are completely responsible for your own criminal actions: no one else.

Furthermore, your case takes a stake through the heart by the fact that the people doing the rioting AREN'T EVEN TRUMP SUPPORTERS!

If Trump wins the nomination, I'll vote for him in the general election.

If Cruz wins the nomination, I'll vote for him in the general election.

If Kasich wins the nomination, I won't make it to the general election. I will have puked myself to death.

Well, I am nothing if I’m not a total advocate of personal responsibility. I preach it to my kids every day. You’re persuading me. Keep going! :)

Ever heard of inciting? You should check out the meaning, any old dictionary will have it, as well as volumes of legal discussions. It carries the meaning of “encouraging” or provoking actions which may be illegal or unethical. Pretty much what I said.

Ever heard of inciting?

Sure I have.

What are the legal tests for it, or are you just pulling terms out of you butt?
