Fundraising Challenge to Trump Supporters: Finish the Quarter and Finish the Year!

Since the Trump real estate empire has extended to encompass serious acreage in the Free Republic Breaking News and Front Page News sections, I thought it might help the site to issue a challenge to the Trump supporters to finish this quarter's Freepathon and even consider funding the whole year's operating costs. With about 2/3 of those sections either being pro-Trump or anti-Cruz (or both), the pro-Trump posters should put some money into supporting the website that's allowing them to advance the cause of their favorite candidate.

If y'all can do it, maybe JimRob would consider renaming the site for a day or two - FRumpRepublic anyone?

I refrained from posting this as "Breaking News" since Trump's name shows up over there quite a bit already. In general, the thought behind this is given the constant trashing of a conservative, God-fearing man (that's even started to move into anti-Christian territory), I'm guessing non-Trump folks are going to be increasingly less-inclined to support FreeRepublic. The least the pro-Trump folks could do is replace this lost revenue. So step up!

Just look at the Breaking and Front Page News sections and do the math.

For specific posting behavior, go read the threads about Cruz issues in Alabama (helpfully highlighted in Breaking News). All the substance you need. Pay particular attention to those posters making reference to religious themes - I don't agree with candidates claiming divine mandates, but those posters have stepped over the line in ways that appear to mock Christianity in general.

Do not aim your donate to FR to only Trump people.

How about the Cruz zombies, who have not posted for years and now post 24/7? Most of them evade my simple question, which is do you donate to Free Republic.

I'm a long-time freeper. This is my cyberfamily, and NO ONE on the internet is providing a forum such as this, and it would not exist without Jim Robinson and our donations.

I live on a tight budget, but have a small amount each month I'm willing to contribute to a worthy cause. Four times a year, that donation goes to FR.

Trump doesn't ask for our money to support his campaign. When he asked us to pool resources for the cause of Veterans, I did so. I bought a Trump tee shirt, to demonstrate solidarity and support.

To new freepers who are hear to support Trump: it's valid to bring it up. Would we even have an unmanipulated voice if it weren't for FR? This is where we discuss our candidate. You wouldn't have this venue if not for all of us "little folk" supporting it ourselves. Mr. Trump himself speaks of how that's how we keep control of things. Isn't it appropriate to show some financial support for FR?

I have already given as I always do as my finances will allow. I don’t think it’s right to frequent and participate on a site like this that works on donations and not give. Of course when Trump makes this country GREAT again, it will be easier.
