I made up some story about the episode to “ruin” it for my daughter that hadn’t seen it yet. The Russian’s airdropped flies that crawl into the noses of the living and the Undead and lay larvae that eat out the brains - then they take over the U.S.A free of zombies and humans.
She didn’t believe me.
And then I said “Hey - you ever notice - there are no flies around the zombies even with all that dead meat hanging off them. This show is so fake!”

The writers should know that using full auto against slow moving zombies that require a head shot is a big fail with those that have common sense.Sometimes it's less about logic and more about letting off steam. Like when Rick emptied the AK-47 through the side of the RV.
It wasn't really necessary to the story that he do that, but after the heavy events of that episode, both the show and the audience needed to vent and that was the perfect moment to do it.
Same with Abraham and Sasha going full auto last week. And Daryl firing rockets into the lake. It was fireworks just for the joy of fireworks. Sure it was wasteful, but the show needed it.
