You’re completely correct. Rush has been very even-handed with Trump, Cruz and Rubio, and has said numerous times he’s not endorsing anybody. It’s obvious we have yay-hoos on this thread who click on the radio for five minutes and hear Rush say something complimentary about one of the candidates and, boom, HE’S IN THE TANK FOR THAT GUY!!! Been through a lot of elections around here, never seen so many uninformed, juvenile simpletons.

Can’t say I listen to every minute. But I think he’s been pretty fair. I may disagree a lot but he’s on the home team. I honestly had a thought when he was defending Rubio’s debate performance that maybe his inability to hear clearly could have caused him to miss the point of Rubio’s robotic repetitiveness that we all clearly saw.

One of the three. Nothing else makes sense. It was noticeable how Rush did a big change in credibility on that one. You know, Hannity has been doing the same.

Fox will back Trump against Cruz in SC.

Well if that's the case, let's see how well Cruz fights back against the media then. It's a very important quality in what I'm looking for in our next candidate.

I haven’t noticed Hannity. Hannity seemed friendly to Trump earlier. Not now?

Rush was sadly backing Rubio. I would be okay with Cruz. There are Cruz supporters here and I’ve seen him on this campaign. He’s solid but I don’t think he can win a general election in 2016.

Rubio though? No way is that guy anything other than an opportunist who back stabbed his own mentor (Jeb).

I don’t know how it can be “BS” when I was giving my own perception of it. To me, he sounds like a Trumpter.

You nailed it. Are you his program director? You only missed one item- lifelock.

And the fake kid call telling him how great his talking horse book is.

My thoughts about Rush: He desperately wants another Reagan conservative at the helm to correct the Obama/Clinton harm. Trouble is the two conservatives he likes the best are damaged. Therefore, he is attempting to make them more palatable to the listening audience. He sees Trump as a spoiler in this election who is more showman than substance but also knows over half his audience supports the man. What does Rush do? Big problem for him. Maybe he believes Rubio has changed. Trouble is not even Rush has foreseen the level of anti GOPE in the country.

Another Cruzer sure of what he knows nothing of. Obviously he hasn't listened to Rush lately, yet with certainty expresses his "knowledge." That's a common theme with Cruzers. They are sure they know what Donald Trump is all about, forward and backward, but have never listened to one second of one of Trump's daily, sometimes twice or thrice daily, stump speeches, all freely available on You Tube. They will repeat to you exactly what Trump said in a speech despite never having listened to it or read about it.

(Glenn Beck--and his two bu++ boys---stands out as the poster child for this ignorance.)

It is TOTALLY like Liberals were for these decades of Rush--they know all about him---he's a hater, hangs up on people, insults people, etc.---yet they have never listened to one SECOND of a Rush radio program.

I am fine with the opinions of the informed. But the dumb-a$$es who "KNOW" stuff they are totally UNINFORMED about, I cannot abide with. Too stupid to know they're stupid.

I’ve listened to Rush since 1987. He’s been OFF at my house for over a week. FNC is off at my house since the first debate when the blonde bimbo tried to trash Trump. I’m shocked at Rush, but won’t listen until after the nomination. Everyone’s true colors seem to be shining through these days.

ALL anyone has to do to READ exactly what Rush has said each day is go to his freaking website. How easy could it be. You can read without being subscriber. Google searches will find most previous days’ segments of his show. There’s no excuse for NOT KNOWING exactly what Rush says and no excuse-—except deliberate deception via the BIG LIE-—to misrepresent what Rush says. Heck, listen to the dang show. But that would mess things up for the prevaricators.

I am with you. My TV has not had Fox tuned in since August 6, 2015, and the first debate.

Rush has been very disappointing and confused sounding the last few weeks. He called Rubio a rock-ribbed REAGAN conservative. Then something similar about Cruz. That is delusional. Is he on oxys again? He knows neither description is true. I HATE the thought of losing faith in Rush. Like Springsteen wrote in a song, "God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of." Have mercy if we can no longer trust the one we trusted so long, Rush Limbaugh.

I would hate to think, but there's lots and lots over the years to support this: Rush is establishment all the way. Remember how he worshipped Karl Rove and would have him as a guest on his show---Rush rarely has guests and only the top or the top of Republican politics.

The Establishment could be calling in its debt. Collecting its vig for past services.

Rush, has when I did listen, promote the notion of following the original intent of the Constitution. Obviously, that is no longer relevant to him, else he would not promote two candidates that under original intent of the Constitution are not even eligible to hold the office of president.

Just like Rush use to be against the giving of special privileges to the mentally disturbed perverts... But he flipped on that, and made his last wedding a Jon Elton affair. Rush said he only likes to hang with people who are the best at what they do... My reaction is that would include the devil himself.

Personally, rush has morphed into the last days of Barry Goldwater..the older he gets the more liberal he becomes.

Life in the US does not revolve around rush wagging his tongue to keep his bank account filled. Never ever thought I would think this way about Rush, but I consider the dollars I spent in buying his wares a bad investment with no returns.

Trump? He loves Cruz. Cruz is consistent. Cruz is always the epitome of conservatism. Blah, blah, blah. He’s in Cruz’ pocket, probably because his brother is highly religious and the Missouri evangelicals are into Cruz.

I disagree. It's true that *very recently* Rush has said a few positive things about Rubio, but a few weeks ago he was very pro-Trump, to the point where I was assuming he was about to endorse The Donald, who is a very close friend of Rush's. And Trump is a big fan of Rush's show... He's said it numerous times.

I listen to about 95% of Rush's shows day after day, year after year. I've heard Rush say very positive things about Trump, Cruz, and - a few times - even Rubio.

Rush doesn't endorse candidates during the primaries, but if I had to bet on who Rush was secretly supporting, I would bet it would be his good friend Donald Trump. Rush wants access to that Lincoln Bedroom again. ;-)

That’s not what Trump did. He repeated the woman’s question before telling her not to use the term.

Rush plays on MANY Trump golf courses, because Trump is a good friend of his. He's mentioned this on air many times over the years.

I don't understand where these FReepers are getting the idea Rush is "endorsing" Rubio. He's only recently said a few nice (albeit misguided) things about Rubio, but he's also praised Cruz and Trump as well.

Several weeks ago, Rush was talking up Trump so much I just assumed he was secretly endorsing his good friend...

Excellent post, Migraine!

I've listened to 95% of Rush's shows for decades. There is NO WAY he is in the tank for Rubio. You've accurately described why Rush has been talking about -- NOT endorsing -- Marco Rubio recently.

I've heard Rush every day during this long primary season... Some days he gives kudos to his good friend Donald Trump, other times it's Cruz. A few times he has praised some things Rubio said. It is laughable to think he would endorse Rubio in the GOP primaries.

I've been a big fan of El Rushbo since March 1991...

I’m not in the entertainment biz Mikey. Ya might want to tune into Rush if that’s what ya want. He should be quite entertaining at show time. El Rusho will be dancing on a political tight rope for ya Mikey.
