He didn’t watch it roll away. He jumped away from it like it might come toward him.

That wouldn’t work if - somehow - he knew a lot of money was riding on a Panther loss. A lot of money.

Looks like he thought better than to be at the bottom of the coming pile-on.

Cam Newton is a thug. There is nothing left to say - he’s a thief purchase by Auburn University to win their ONLY national championship. He will remain a thief.

Auburn has won the national title before. Back when Shug Jordan was the coach.

I also think the biggest impact is on his teammates. They saw cowardice. Players will not put out for a coward.

Why didn't get go after his own fumble? He just watched it roll away without trying.

He didn't only not go after it, he visibly backed away. He seemed to realize his opportunity was at hand, so he acted.

Follow the Benjamins. It's as good an explanation as any. The NFL was hell bent on crowning Manning this year by hook or by crook.

Can can’t sell “Superman” anymore to a world that saw him jump away from a football as if it were made of kryptonite.

We used to call it reckless abandon.

If we were standing up at the end of a play, we got yanked.

Newton was frustrated, just as Brady was. The difference between someone who had been there before and a first timer was evident. If you don’t will yourself to win, everyone knows it.

Sure looked like he protested too much. Right after he jumped away from his own fumble it sure looked suspicious.

When he gets caught his father will claim he bet on the game. Sort of like when he was caught taking money to sign when he was in college. Dad will take the fall.

If he was in this with the mob we’ll never hear another word. If the mob got stung soon things will begin to happen.
