As a kid who lived on Long Island in the 1960’s I made frequent trips with my family into Manhattan.

The men of that era would literally wear a suit just to go the corner store to pick up a quart of milk. White shirt, tie.....the whole nine-yards.

People were different back then, especially the older generations.

And no one had tattoos, unless they were in the Navy or a former Navy enlisted man.

Or an ex-convict! Of all the bad habits that present-day American citizens employ to my mind the tattoos are the worst! They look bad enough on men, but why any woman would want to deface their gorgeous skin like that is beyond me. What is the point!?
