Actually, Newton is the one overthrowing his receivers on a regular basis.

Definitely not the Peyton of his youth. I want the Broncos to win so he can retire on a high note...and I dislike Cam Newton

Newton didn’t exactly show much courage on the fumble. He backed away from it. It’s the Superbowl, for heaven’s sake!
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
This is the first super bowl I have watched in many years.
Both defenses are simply overwhelming the offenses.

Manning is one of the all time greats and he had 2 good drives that ended in field goals and played good enough to win. Much better than Newton. To put in the backup QB may have cost them the game and Denver just scored a TD!
Go BRONCOS!
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
They are winning, so why would you take him out?

“He backed away from it.”
That’s what hubby and the TV guys said, but I didn’t really see that. But it’s probably me.
I’m happy whoever wins this game, I’m really in a win-sin sit. here.

I think Newton is hurt. Left shoulder.

Cam is a talented QB, a little attitude adjustment after this loss will continue to be fun to watch him in the league.

That’s what it looked like to me. It won’t exactly endear him to his teammates.
To: mkmensinger
It’ll be hard for Newton to live that one down...

I missed the first few minutes when they were introducing the former MVPs. I started with about number 8.
Was Bart Starr there? I know he has been ill.
