I didn't see GaGa's performance, but just for the record, Whitney Houston lip-synched to a pre-recorded performance (by her, in fairness).

She also changed the song from 3/4 time to 4/4 time to make it easier to sing.

I just don’t like entertainers, other than clowns, that completely change their facial appearance every other day. I didn’t say she didn’t sing a great National Anthem, which she did. Can’t say the same for the half-time show, which I thought was terrible. By the way I picked Denver two weeks ago to win because of their defense. Wish I had bet some money on it.

When she clutched her chest as she turned to the large stars and stripes I was moved. The God Bless America comment was icing on the cake. Well done !
