Be interesting to see the plans for fire suppression.

That last paragraph sounds like a recipe for disaster.

As long as it helps combat climate change then nothing else matters.

Who would ever want to live like that?

I could barely stand having 5 neighbors in one building -- let alone 55,000.

Sad, I remember when we use to build big things. Now the only massive building project is our debt.

My first thoughts, too. I hope it’s more tsunami resistant than their reactors.

Let’s see...
Area that is prone to cyclones, check.
Area of high seismicity, including the possibility of earthquakes in the Magnitude 8 or 9 area, check.
What could possibly go wrong?

When I was Japan a few years back everyone believed in man made global warming. Japanese are fixated on nature and the newspapers and media have been touting the sham for so long it is just common knowledge they take at face value. For being smart sometimes they ain’t too smart.

The only thing about this climate change hysteria that’s cogent to me is that the PTB have reason to suspect an ELE or near-ELE (perhaps manufactured) in the near future and are planning their escape — not ours.

Very, very tall buildings and extensive seismic activity. Always a good combination.

Modern engineering, the building will survive and soon be ready for new tenants.

The previous occupants will have been hurled out the windows, as from a slingshot.
