It's not just Obama, it's the whole federal government.
It's not misdirected, it's just that they are lying about what is going on.
We borrowed tons of 'money' from the Chinese. We had to, in order to keep the government 'running' because our politicians have been stealing the taxpayers money (that should have been used to pay the loans) and keeping it for themselves. For instance, the $6 billion missing from the State Department. The Chinese don't want 'money' in return, as US money is actually worthless to them. What they WANTED first was higher quality steel. That was what the CASH FOR CLUNKERS was all about.
But that didn't pay off the 'debt'. So now they want LAND, especially FARM LAND.
That is why the FEDS have been declaring vast tracts of land as NATIONAL MONUMENTS and kicking everyone off these lands. Most of these lands have valuable mineral rights associated with them. The CHINESE don't want anyone digging up 'their land', nor any Americans driving RECREATIONAL VEHICLES on 'their land', nor camping on it.
The Bundy's , the Hammond's , are all Americans who have land the CHINESE want. And OUR GOVERNMENT plans to give it to them come hell or high water.
Over 40% of US LAND has already been pledged as COLLATERAL on these loans.
THAT is what this is really all about.
