I'm a life long Iowan and I know the state well. The Democrats were using college kids to change registration at the caucus sites to vote for Rubio. I'm looking at a map of results and it makes no sense that Trump wins Pottawatomie County and loses Scott County. Cruz wins Linn Couny and Trump is 3rd, makes little sense. There are very few evangelicals in Linn County, but there are thousands of college students that grew up in Cedar Rapids and go to school in Iowa City. The same can be said for Davenport. Dallas County went for Rubio, but it's very much a high end suburb full of mega-church people. Trump wins Sioux City and Dubuque and Council Bluffs because they don't send their kids to Iowa or Iowa State. It's brilliant if you think of it. They do not want to face Trump because he's Trump. They don't want to face Cruz because he has an IQ of 150. But Rubio? He can be beat. Do you remember the name of the Congressman Hillary beat to become a Senator? Richard Lazio. A short, young, good looking Italian. What was Rubio's appeal to Iowans? It makes no sense. There is a county in the NW part of the state, Dickinson County. By my calculations is the most like the rest of the county. This Rubio crap is not believable. Cruz orginazed his arse off, but Rubio stood around and combed his hair. The Democrats are praying for Rubio.

They broke for the best polling RINO. Pretty poor when you think about the RINOs consciously voting just over 20% for one guy. Jeb, Christie didn’t poll enough to spoil.

I can’t imagine Democrats doing that with their very close primary. Plus Rubio is the only one that beats Hillary and Bernie. The rest lose. Now that may change but the debate is what helped Rubio.

If you're right then Rubio will not do so well in NH unless Iowas creates a bandwagon effect for him.

I don't see why Hillary would want to go up against Rubio, though. To her mind Trump or Cruz would be easier to paints as extremists that are too radical for America.

Also I don't see Democrats moving to register Republican when the Democrat caucus was so close. You'ld think they would be desperate to keep as many voters as possible to either vote Hillary or vote Sanders.

Stop looking at long term polling numbers. I can’t imagine Bernie Sanders telling people he’s sick of hearing about Hillary’s emails, but he did! Bernie knows he’ll have to do what’s needed and get along with the party to an extent.

The Dems want Rubio because they win either way. They get Hillary or they get a pro-amnesty Republican that’ll legalize 10s of millions of new voters, 67% of whom voted for Obama last time out.

We will never win another national race if Scamnesty passes. It’s an existential threat to the Republic. Forget Republican party, to the Republic itself as they’ll accelerate open borders and bring in tens of millions more from around the world. We will be living in a 3rd world hellhole.

Were these college kids Sanders supporters? They could have easily won the election by supporting their guy? Why give that up to back Rubio?

Does make sense that Democrats would do this though.

Rubio beats Hillary?

Rubio means they win already. Game over. They get amnesty we are toast.

Read Coulter’s book on the subject. Well researched and nails it. We lose amnesty, we lose every national election from here out.

Because Rubio is a boy of average intelligence with a cheerleader wife. Cruz has an IQ of 150 and organizational skills as good as Nixon. Trump is Trump and has proved he’s not afraid to call a bitch a bitch. They want Rubio!

New Hampshire has MORE colleges and universities, not to mention boarding school, than Iowa has.

Will this work in N.H. ?

I don't know.

Decades of local culture being replaced by national culture has led to states becoming more-and-more alike.

Saying that Iowans are more religious or NH more secular is now a matter of a few percentage points.

If Rubio can sell his schtick in Florida, then he can sell it in NH, Iowa, Utah, California, Wyoming, etc.

Yes there are differences between the states, but I think that well-run campaigns and MSM lies can even out the differences.

Also, a lot more people are willing to vote strategically rather than with their conscience. I have a feeling that the vast majority of Republicans that voted for Rubio in Iowa did so not because they agreed with his policies the most, but because they thought he has the best chance against Hillary in November.

That’s exactly right! Rubio is the key for them. Amnesty is the key. It wasn’t that long ago that Minnesota started to turn more red. What did they do? They shipped 175 million Somalia, Ethopia, and Hmong to even things out. They did it in Michigan as well. I like Cruz, he knows the score. I like Trump as well and I am with him because he is the only candidate with the strength to fight the MSM.

You're 100% wrong.

And Rubio is losing in Florida; they know him and most HATE him now.

I agree with almost everything you say, but! Iowa has a quirk in the northwest corner. The Dutch Reform Church is very, very conservative and they use it well.

I know what you meant. I’m just upset today about Rubio. He’s so obviously owned by the Uniparty and even Rush is defending the guy.

I hope that’s true baby. Rubio is a child and can’t stand up to the heat.

It is sickening for sure. The thing is Rubio has not been tested yet. I mean Bush with his lame commercials were a big fail, but now he is going to big leagues and it is not that great. Heck one thing I do believe is that Trump and Cruz are sharp and both of them were “spooked a time or two” during the debates. Rubio is going to be crucified on Saturday night. I mean Christie is not going to let him get an inch of a lie in. The target on Saturday is Rubio. It might work great for Trump and maybe Cruz.
