The winner of the Iowa R primary got 51,000 votes.
The winner of the Iowa 2012 POTUS election got 822,000 votes.

So your conclusion might be based on a non-representative sample. But I’m really not sure.

I’m not sure you can compare caucus votes to general election votes. Apples and Oranges.

If Cruz makes it to the general, he will loose IA based on his attack on Ethanol.
