With that said, Cruz is a religious zealot. Too judgmental for me.

Can you please provide any examples of where Ted has been "judgmental"?

I don't believe our mission as a Christian is to make fun of those who are trying to make their paths to Christ.

Again, example? I know Trump has attacked other candidates over their faith, but I don't remember seeing Cruz making fun of anyone. Or are you talking about the "2 Corinthians" issue??

The fact that Ted took on the Iowa political third rail - AND WON - should show some people that he’s the real deal.

I am a Texan as well. Exactly how did Cruz let you down to the extent you will never vote for him again? I am truly curious.

Why? Because they are all more likeable.

And besides, by the time the Ohio Primary is here, March 15, all those you listed will be out of the race... Trump, Rubio or Carson will win Ohio.

It's true

Rep. Steve King says Carson 'out'

"Carson looks like he is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope," King tweeted.

The Carson campaign said he was going back to Florida. Today they said he was just going home to pick up some fresh clothes. REALLY?

RE: Why? Because they are all more likeable.

OK, likeability is the most important criteria for you. Got it.

McCain was openly against ethanol subsidies (I know you said mandate, but close enough IMO) in 2000. But then, he didn’t win IA.

My brother is a Texan, born and raised in Ohio but has lived in Texas for the last 10 years, he doesn’t like Cruz either so not all Texans like Cruz.

My understanding is that CNN put out the story that Carson was taking a break after Iowa and the Cruz camp forwarded it. Smart action. Blame CNN.

He lies entirely too much and he flip flops entirely to much. He is running a nasty campaign using negative attack ads. He hides behind surrogates often when attacking. I no longer have any respect for the man and I no longer believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

Conservatives are in the proverbial cat-bird seat if the election cycle is not corrupted by the Ruling class by the time the nomination takes place.

That said, I disagree with your No. 2 that Trump sat out the debate out of fear.

While I am not a Trumpian, and am more in Cruz’ corner, given the fact that Fox had lined up a radical Muslim and other assorted morons to slander and smear Trump directly. I would have done the same thing and said the hell with their debate, because it was not a debate - but a cage match intended by the media to pick their winner.

Quite honestly, all of the GOP candidates are qualified. Any would be better than Hillary. But I have my choices.

No, the DU is not my forum.

Too judgmental for me.

This is how liberals see conservatives. In an election that is a referendum on both parties... how could Ted's views be seen otherwise? If you're for the status quo... I understand why Cruz is on the bottom of your list.

Cruz’s win shows us that polls are not accurate. More people came out to caucus in Iowa than in the last two elections. That speaks volumes. The republic is fed up with the GOP-e and Hillary and her lies and treason. Sanders was virtually tied with Hillary. Carson will soon drop out. While he seems like a nice person, he is not aggressive and does not always clearly articulate his positions. His supporters then flock to Cruz. Bush will drop out soon too and his supporters will go to Rubio. Cruz and Trump need to go on the offensive to expose Rubio for the establishment, open-borders, big government RINO that he has turned into. It’s a shame because he won Florida as a Tea Party candidate and he speaks well, however, he allowed himself to get bought by the GOP-e (McConnell and Boehner.)

A Trump/Cruz ticket would ensure a win against Hillary. Trump would capture the angry American vote, the Evangelicals, the south, many blacks, the Reagan democrats, basically most voters except the hard-core leftists and the illegals.

Lots of generalities in your post. Examples?

I pictured the statement, don't waste your vote on somebody who just ain't gonna make it, as part of the normal give and take of a caucus environment and Carson's campaign's complaint about it kind of silly. It's far less "dirty" than a lot that goes on in politics every day. Think back on what was being slung at Carson when his polling numbers were in double digits. Insults about his wife's appearance?

The same statement could have been made during the caucuses about all but three or four of the candidates and probably was by supporters of other campaigns than Cruz's. And saying it about someone who left the State during the count to go home and grab some clean clothes seems almost prescient.

I’m off to do stuff, but if you check my posting history you will see where I have documented the lying and the flip flopping. bye for now.
