There have always been mosquitoes, so I wonder what happened to make this such a threat. Is it that finally the human population was dense enough in the virus’ territory that it was able to spread quickly, or was there some kind of mutation in the virus that allowed it to be transmitted more easily?

On a related note, I can’t wait for the first outbreak of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) in Europe. MERS had a 30% mortality rate in some areas.

Must have built up an immunity; those in the M.E. seem to breed like cockroaches. So much so, they’re flooding Europe again.
