The Spanos Family Crime Syndicate could have had a new stadium in San Diego if they had bothered to put a good product on the field...as the Padres did to get their new stadium. Now that Alex is 92 and in advanced dementia, his worthless, money-grubbing son Dean is in charge, and he could care less about America's Finest City. After scores of millions of taxpayers dollars were spent to expand Qualcomm/Jack Murphy stadium multiple times, plus a sweetheart lease deal that required the city to use more taxpayer funds to buy unsold tickets at full price, the Spanos' are ******* the fans in the ***.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. The Los Angeles Mediocres can go suck and get booed by the thousands of Raiders fans in the City of Angels.
That is a shame.
Yes. Of course USC and UCLA student bodies, alumni, & boosters support their collegiate teams. LA denizens at large treated the Rams like dirt, and will do so again when they move back. Kroenke and the Spanos Organized Crime Family are in it for the cash. A billion+ dollars just isn’t enough for the knotheads. Heck, LA couldn’t support the Raiders, and it has many more silver & black fans than does Oakland. The Chargers haven’t heard booing like they’re going to get when they stink up Los Angeles.
St. Louis and San Diego are good sports cities, with supportive fans. The taxpayers simply object to building lavish athletic facilities for super-wealthy owners. They deserve better treatment by the NFL — Goodell and the owners are a bunch of asshats who have no civic pride or concern for the fans. There is a public trust in owning sports franchises. Wish they all were like Green Bay and owned by the fans.
