Without comparing actual job titles this survey is useless. The survey data doesn’t include that information so the entire thing should be taken with a grain of salt.

These rates are laughable. I’m seeing offers of anywhere from 120 to 140k, and I’m considered low.

Depends on the tech job and how much experience you have

Exactly. These are averages but in my state, I don't know anyone or any colleague who makes that much. They must be including management...most of which do not qualify as tech 'workers'.

If talking to a programmer is hard anyway, trying talking to one who doesn’t speak English well.

I’ve worked with lots of people from other countries and corporations don’t like them. I get along with them fine because they are blunt, the exact quality corporations don’t like.

Ted Cruz's call for a suspension of H1B workers for six months is meaningless.

Every year, the cap is met within days of the opening bell, and then "suspended" until the next year's opening bell. The global communists just cannot displace American workers fast enough to suit their tastes.

If Ted Cruz wanted a meaningful suspension of H1B, it would have to be for 15 or 20 years.

The numbers they are touting suggest they have included managers and very specialized workers.
