Oregon standoff leader warns feds: Back off

BURNS-Ammon Bundy on Tuesday cautioned federal employees not to interfere with local ranchers and miners who defy government regulations as he stepped towards increased militancy on Day 18 of his occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

The armed protestors are clearing the way for Harney County residents to again ranch, mine and log on land now controlled by federal managers, Bundy said.

The occupation leader addressed 'range cons"-federal range conservationists who work with ranchers on grazing schedules and rotations to minimize the ecological impact of cattle. He also cited their employer, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which manages the bird sanctuary.

Federal agents shouldn't try to intimidate those who assert their rights, Bundy said in a news conference at the entrance to the refuge headquarters, 30 miles southeast of Burns.

"We give warning they are not to do that," Bundy said.....

About an hour later and eight miles down the road, another protest took place by citizens outraged by the occupation.

Kieran Suckling, executive director of the Arizona-based Center for Biological Diversity, assembled a half-dozen protestors overnight as a counterweight to the attention Bundy and his group gets with its daily news conferences.....

They are spurring a revolution but not the revolution they wanted," Suckling said......

Suckling said he got the idea for the counter-protest after confronting the militants Monday at their own news conference. When he got back to Burns later, he found 200 emails, including questions: "Is it safe?" "Can we come?"

If he had more time, he estimated he could draw 500 to 1,000 people.

"The Malheur does not belong to the Bundys," he said.

Bundy's followers make up the "radical spearhead" of a political movement backed by powerful corporate interests trying to access public lands, he said.....

There were some warnings yesterday from the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom and the Center for Biological Diversity.

The leftist environmentalists are making some pretty inciting allegations against the people occupying the refuge, raising the notion the citizens there are the tools of 'corporate interests'.

Last night there was a town meeting in Burns with some pretty strong emotions from all sides with some calling for a cutoff of supplies to those at the refuge.

Ammon and Ryan Bundy, among other people from the refuge were there to hear it all.

Some at the meeting were asking the sheriff about his connections to the FBI.

Pete Santilli and media aligned with him are reporting on a medevac helicopter on standby at Burns Municipal Airport 30 miles north of the refuge with preparations at a hospital in Boise for casualties.

In the video that Santelli posted, the feds were very heavily armed. There were a lot of them.

The rhetoric is building up out there, that’s for sure and I get the sense the environmentalists are trying to arouse their angry base into action.

Two words. 'Yeah' and 'right'.

There’s been a couple of things posted from a number of sources pointing to preparations for casualties involving a Boise hospital with extra blood and a surgical team and a medevac chopper being stationed at the Burns, OR airport.

Its about 180 miles to Boise from the area with Boise being the nearest big city.

Portland is actually some 300 miles or more to the northwest even though Burns is in OR.

BY THE WAY TOPICS WERE REMOVED FROM THIS ARTICLE AND I CAN’T PUT ANY IN.

ITS A WAY OF REDUCING THE PROMINENCE OF THIS STORY.

I guess we all have to obsessed with politics this morning and Donald Trump or Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck.

God Bless em all but I think this story is important, too.

“Last night there was a town meeting in Burns with some pretty strong emotions from all sides with some calling for a cutoff of supplies to those at the refuge”

Unreal that these people can’t realize that cutting off ways of making a living and peaceful existence is exactly what Obama and his regime has in it’s plans for them.

Why is it that those residents who are angry with the occupation can’t realize that it is in their interest and that of all American citizens and that the Federal Government has interfered with the state’s rights to oversee and manage their lands? Isn’t Obama’s shutdown of coal mining enough to open the eyes of Americans to the fact that he and his regime have a diabolical plan to bring America to it’s knees? Part of that plan is using it’s influence over those lands?

Trusting the Federal Government to manage and control any resource that is essential to one’s livelihood is a grave mistake. I suppose that a great many people have been dumbed down so much that they don’t recognize a threat when it’s staring them in the face. Instead, they listen to the media driven swill and attack their own.

If it’s going to be a massacre, why would they order “large quantities of blood”? She’s a loon.

Kieran Suckling is radical commie who apparently would be happier with a bolshevik invasion or ‘revolution’.

“Bundy’s followers make up the “radical spearhead” of a political movement backed by powerful corporate interests trying to access public lands” said Suckling.

Typical leftist tactic. They said the same thing about the TEA Party when it first started. Suckling needs to check out who the Center for Biological Diversity’s largest donors are. I met the two guys who started that organization in the early 90’s. If it hadn’t of been for a $10,000 ‘gift’ from Ted Turner, there wouldn’t be a CBD today.

Go to the Center for Boological Diversity and look at the staff. It’s quite instructive.

It’s a clever card for the government to play isn’t it? They get some rabid leftist to start some trouble, make physical threats, push it too far, then the militia has to act in self defense. The feds rush in and kill everyone with the good will of the sheeple. Standoff over, BLM wins, ranchers lose, the public cheers, no one messes with the BLM anymore.

The people out West have suffered enough and some of them do care, but people in the towns and people who work for the government (there are 2,000 employed in Harney County with 240 federal and 750 state and local government employees among them) are making a living and don’t care about those who are suffering economically from federal control.

The media spins this to make opposition seem stronger and I get the story through their filter which is emotionally opposed and I do listen to some who are supporting like Pete Santilli but he tends to be excitable and gets in people’s faces for showy purposes.

He went after someone in the media and says he scared them away. I believe in a calmer approach to covering things like I used in religious broadcasting when there was a fight over a Christian school in Nebraska.

This is a serious situation with human lives endangered and deserves a serious treatment in the end.

The federal land control in the West has been building up and up for decades as an issue and its reaching a point of pushback.

“The rhetoric is building up out there, that’s for sure and I get the sense the environmentalists are trying to arouse their angry base into action.”

I’m surprised that Suckling is there at all. He’s usually above getting his hands dirty, opting instead to remain back in Tucson filing lawsuit after lawsuit against every rancher, logging operation, and anything that goes against utilizing our natural resources.

The Bundy’s and their friends need to be VERY careful with these environazis. It’s almost ALWAYS libtards who pull a gun and shoot first, and depending on what narrative the Feds want played out, it would be very easy for a Fed operative to fire the first round hidden near the libtards. Would they shoot a libtard to lay blame on the Bundy’s??? We’ll see if Suckling indeed does get a few hundred protestors on site. Bet your bottom dollar that if he does, they will be the militant Earth First sort.

the feds will go in there with automatic weapons, snipers, and grenades. they’ll kill people, including some of their own agents, then the sheeple will point their collective finger at Ammon Bundy and say “see what you did?”

Whatever comes out of Burns is so much more important than elections. However, the battle for the conservative movement is, I think, even bigger than Burns. Without a conservative movement, property rights, government overreach, government abuse are just part of the ‘will to power.’ The stories are related in one way: Conservatism must prevail for America to be a great nation where people can live free of tyranny. If conservatives nominate an anti-conservative, the movement will be dead because we will have abandoned our principals for shiny objects. No one will, or should, take us seriously anymore.

I hope that other groups (such as Oathkeepers) reconsider their stand on this issue.

The other groups don’t need to be provocative, they just need to function primarily as observers.

The first rule for totalitarian oligarchies and their allies is to operate in the dark with the connivance of the propaganda media.

The Feds own the west and they are guarding the mineral resources for their global masters. I’m sure that China basically has a lien on this land and the cronies like Reid and Klinton are acting as their agents.
