The Big Short is compelling story with fantastic dialog, and with decent acting from people I wouldn't have expected it from. It's biggest drawback, and what I found irritating, was the changes they made to well documented history.
If I had to pick one to see in the theater it would be "Revenant" as the medium lends itself far more to the space. Pick up "The Big Short" as a rental when it comes out, you won't miss anything by seeing it on a small screen.
