Rape sometimes (most often) leads to the victim literally being destroyed. Whatever innocence and self worth his daughter had is gone after this horrible crime. He killed that by being a coward and not sacrificing himself for his own flesh & blood.
This is NY...had the father pulled a Bernie Goetz he’d be in jail for the rest of his life. IMHO a decent trade by sending 5 feral scum to the morgue and preserving his daughter’s dignity.
Such is the world we live in where evil reigns and evil men charge innocent people for defending themselves.
I don’t think that the father killing himself is going to help his daughter. Her life is not over. What are you going to suggest next, an honor killing like the Muslims do?
It is a sad, tragic event. Do I question the father’s decision like most here on this forum? Yes. But suggesting he kill himself puts you in the same category as the Muslims. Suggesting he go vigilante would make more sense than suicide. It couldn’t undo what happened but might bring justice where it is absent.
