Nope. Not to me. I saw that game. This wasn’t blowing a lead. Huge comebacks happen. This was simply giving the game away out if utter stupidity.
Completely agree, MM. Personally, I think Burfict should be banned for life, and if I owned the Bengals, I would fire Lewis and release Jones, and concur fully if the NFL banned Burfict. If they didn’t ban him, I would release him, too. The 3 previous $20K fines the NFL has slapped Burfict with for unnecessary roughness are pocket change to a guy making $4.7M a year.
But to give the Bengals credit where ‘tis due, they scored 16 unanswered points in the 4th quarter before the Steeler’s field goal. That said, Cinncinnati deserved that loss, and I’m glad they did. As a New England fan, I have no love for the Steelers. But no way, no how, should dirty play of that caliber be rewarded. Why do you think Brandon Browner is no longer a Patriot?
