They’re sure not a necessity for me. But I wonder about cell phones. The need to be constantly in touch and jabbering away no matter where you are seems to be a newly ingrained entitlement, like having a place to live. This society’s expectations have exploded even as the means to pay for it have stagnated. The federal government’s habits are now ours. Good luck with that, kids.

True. Every bit helps at least a little. Although it is tough to invest in the market without access to a retirement plan or broker through work.
