Getting a goat for cheese and butter sounds like a lot of work but let me know how it turns out!
“Getting a goat for cheese and butter sounds like a lot of work but let me know how it turns out!”
I sure will.
I figured a goat will provide me with less milk than a cow - a good thing since there’s only 2 of us here.
I practiced with supermarket milk and made all kinds of cheese. It was an addictive hobby, making and nurturing those little discs until the day came to open them up and see what magic transpired!
My only issue now is that my newly acquired basement isn’t cold enough to ripen cheese :( My teeny test-wine/cheese cooler isn’t bug enough or energy efficient enough. I may have to figure out how to dig a 10’ deep cave on my property to get the perfect cheese-ripening atmosphere. Isn’t it amazing how God provided us all these natural phenomena? Every little plant that grows in my garden I find miraculous! (I’m going to plant a big garden too, since experimenting with a small one last year was amazingly productive and again, addictive!)
