We get our eggs (and milk) from an organic dairy farm. My favorite way to start the day is with a fried egg - runny yolk- and a piece of Ezekiel bread. Add a mug of tea with milk and honey and I am happy, happy, happy.

You are right about eggs, though I’ve heard cooking the yolk oxidizes the cholesterol making it bad for arteries.

This video changed my life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDneyrETR2o

No exercise and I’m down 25 lbs. I went for a walk with my family today and felt great!

“Getting a goat for cheese and butter sounds like a lot of work but let me know how it turns out!”

I sure will.

I figured a goat will provide me with less milk than a cow - a good thing since there’s only 2 of us here.

I practiced with supermarket milk and made all kinds of cheese. It was an addictive hobby, making and nurturing those little discs until the day came to open them up and see what magic transpired!

My only issue now is that my newly acquired basement isn’t cold enough to ripen cheese :( My teeny test-wine/cheese cooler isn’t bug enough or energy efficient enough. I may have to figure out how to dig a 10’ deep cave on my property to get the perfect cheese-ripening atmosphere. Isn’t it amazing how God provided us all these natural phenomena? Every little plant that grows in my garden I find miraculous! (I’m going to plant a big garden too, since experimenting with a small one last year was amazingly productive and again, addictive!)

I don’t think there’s anything harmful about cooked egg yolks but I agree that undercooked yolks preserves more of the vitamins. I prefer soft-boiled eggs and runny yolks on my fried egg also.

If you want to lose weight, you take in MORE calories? I’m not getting that.

I bookmarked the video to watch later. I should have learned the first time around that more fat and less carbs was better. This second time, I’m taking the pounds off for good. I also find myself with much more energy for walking and other activities. The carbs make me tired and more hungry.

I have done low carb Atkins at least 4 times previously. I realized that I cheated too much and also did not embrace FAT. A french fry or three here and a couple of bites of bread there...and you are no longer in ketosis.

A salad with chicken breast is not helpful unless you slather it with fat. That is what I know now and its working! Embrace the fat! Bacon and eggs almost every morning. Coffee with heavy cream. Ribeye. Along with low carb veggies.

If you consume too much protein, your body actually has a process called gluconeogenesis ...where it converts the excess protien into glucose and you get the insulin spike.

For milk, I use heavy cream. You can dilute heavy cream with some water and add some fake sugar to give it sweetness.

Meat, green veggies, nuts, eggs, diet jello, etc. fruit is sweet because it is high in sugar. It doesn’t matter if it’s natural sugar or not, the sugar is in it that gets stored as fat. Fruit juices are even worse, as there is no fiber that the body needs to work to process along with / to get to the sugars.

Love eggs...and love to add unsalted grass fed butter to my coffee....bulletproof coffee is what it’s called.

Goes perfectly with my fried eggs.

Whipped, organic heavy whipping cream with a bit of stevia or agave is delicious, over berries. Nice treat.

Love heavy cream with my coffee, too.

"I just perfected my recipe for roasted brussels sprouts, which involves olive oil and garlic - three superfoods in one dish! Never thought I would ever come to like brussels sprouts so much. "

Are you willing to share? :-)

He is right . Eating the way the food pyramid says to eat will just make you fat and develop metabolic problems.
