The article has it a bit right. Racism does prevent white skill position players in football from being given equal consideration. Seen it first hand for decades. White players are described as having hustle, a motor etc... but speed, power, athleticism. You just don’t hear that. Then YOU Get Kids Like McCaffery who got shit out of the Heisman.
I read an article that said it was unthinkable to let a white guy play cornerback ‘cuz black guys owned that position. Save for Jordy Nelson all the white WRs are always possesion type of wideouts.
