And I seem to recall Frederick Ziv died not all that many years ago, at about age 90 or so. He sold off to United Artists around 1961, which is how they got his library of shows. I think “Sea Hunt” and “Ripcord” were still in production at the time. Maybe “King of Diamonds” too.
“Highway Patrol” has been re-mastered, and looks great nowadays. Ditto some other Ziv shows, like “Sea Hunt,” “Bat Masterson,” “Tombstone Territory,” “Harbor Command,” and “West Point Story.” All which have been released on dvd.
Ripcord...there’s memories! Whirlybirds a Ziv production too?
I’ve enjoyed watching Highway Patrol and locating where scenes were filmed. Amazingly some of the businesses and houses are still there!
We had a cable channel here that is now off the air that showed a lot of the Ziv stuff.
