Itâs no secret that abortion advocates have many allies in the mainstream media. In the past year, many news outlets have published stories of women who said their abortions were good for them.
This week, the U.K. Metro followed the trend by publishing four womenâs abortion stories in a video interview. Rather than present a balanced report of womenâs abortion experiences, the news outlet chose four women who claimed that aborting their unborn babies helped them.
Between the lines, though, there are some indications that these womenâs stories are not as positive as they make them out to be.
Shanelle, who was just 18 at the time of her abortion, admitted that she did not receive good counseling about her options as a pregnant teenager.
âI didnât think twice about it,â Shanelle said. âI knew exactly what I wanted.â
She said her mind was set on abortion, but could better counseling have given her more hope for her life and her babyâs?
A second woman, Bree, said she wants to be a mother, but the timing wasnât right when she got pregnant. Tearfully, she explained that she also had an abortion.
âBut the regret that I felt was that I wasnât at the right time in my life to have a child,â Bree said. âAnd thatâs what hurt the most.â
The third woman, Melanie, was 24 when she had an abortion. She said she told a few friends and family about her decision, and they supported her decision to have an abortion.

âEveryone that I told I told specifically because I felt that I would be supported by them, and I was,â Melanie said.
Melanie said her family and friends supported her abortion, and Bree said she wanted to be a mother, but neither woman gave any indication about whether she would have received support if she chose life for her baby. Support, whether from a partner or family, is often a key factor in a womanâs decision to have an abortion.
Alyssa, the fourth to share her story, said she was 17 and didnât want to be a pregnant teenager. She had plans to attend college, and a baby would get in the way.
âIf someone had forced me to have that child or if I didnât have the option to have had that child, then I donât know where my life would be,â Alyssa said. âIâm really grateful that I did have that option.â
Itâs unfortunate to see such a biased report, especially when so many women who have had abortions experience profound pain and regret. Many women bravely share their painful abortion stories with the hope of sparing other women and their babies from the devastating effects of abortion.

Wonton murderers seldom do.
Pure EVIL!
So she will kill her children that get in her way.
I don’t believe that. You know why? I have read a lot of stuff on serial killers and one thing almost everyone of them had in common was drug and/or alcohol abuse. Why is this important you ask? I think it was their way of dampening their conscience. These women, like the serial killers can say till the cows come home “it does not bother me” yet they go out and booze it up or do drugs which is common among women who have had abortion, in order to kill the pain. The pain mind you from the loss of the baby and their conscience.
A lot of killers don’t “think twice about it” these days. Life is cheap.
Did you “think twice” before having sex?
Then you have no soul.
Lot of that going around at Nuremberg in the late forties. You know, “just following orders”.
First and foremost let it be clear. The babies aren’t theirs to begin with. They are God’s creation to be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord for His purpose. Intentionally killing one of God’s creations is serious. . . and is an example of a seared conscience.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had reality born out of a scene from The Twilight Zone and had babies choosing death for their Mothers!
any woman with such a viewpoint should be dropped on the road side
remember guys, to avoid all the drama, craziness, and disease ... NEVER date liberal chicks.
It is too soon for them to have that profound regret yet. They have been taught that what they did was a moral option. Feel for them. They made a soul changing mistake but they were led to it by other whom they trusted. Including pop culture, the media, etc.
i guess,II’m 70 and tired. Time to check out
Few times in my life have i read such cold words. They’ll have to answer for their sins one day. I only wish I could see it for myself.
