Bristol Palin later became a paid spokeswoman advocating abstinence and warning against teenage pregnancies. She also performed on “Dancing with the Stars” and had a short-lived cable TV show called “Life’s a Tripp.”

In 2009, she told Good Morning America, “regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only … 100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy,” and promised a magazine in that year, “I’m not going to have sex until I’m married: I can guarantee it.”

And when Palin made an appearance with the head of the Candie’s Foundation on Greta Van Susteren‘s On The Record in 2010, Van Susteren introduced her by saying, “”Bristol is promoting abstinence for the Candie’s Foundation.”

Thus, while Palin splits hairs and insists she is not a hypocrite for getting pregnant before marriage yet again, she admitted in the blog post that she knew she was going to be“completely crucified” for not practicing what she has preached, loudly, for years.
Palin said now, she’s in her mid-twenties, with a steady job, a house, and years of parenting experience with her son Tripp, 6.

“I am pregnant,” she wrote. “This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance.”

Meanwhile, the Candie’s Foundation voiced their support for the unwed mother, and said in a post on social media, “In 2011, when she was just 19, Bristol Palin was enormously helpful to The Candie’s Foundation in our mission to educate teenagers about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy.

“Her courage, while still a teen herself, to admit her mistakes so publicly in an effort to help others was remarkably brave. Today, at 24, we can only offer our support to Bristol and her family and respect her request for privacy.”

“Regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only … 100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy,” Bristol Palin told ABC News program “Good Morning America” in 2009 — a belief that has obviously worked out well for her.

Despite her work in promoting abstinence — for which she is paid — as well as her statements over the years promoting abstinence, Palin says she is absolutely NOT a paid abstinence spokesperson. In an angry blog post, Palin attempted to rewrite her own history.

“So here are the things you should all get straight before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me,” Palin wrote. “None of us are perfect.”

“I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume,” Sarah Palin’s possibly more stupid daughter complained. “This pregnancy was actually planned.”

Yes, that’s right — the pregnancy, out-of-wedlock and in the face of all of her professed beliefs as a “Christian,” was planned. “Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself,” she added. “Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.”

Though she clearly indicated that her new baby is a disappointment, Palin said:

But I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!

Oh, and another thing, you “giddy a$$holes!” She was never, not once, even when she was, a paid “abstinence spokesperson”:

Let’s get another thing straight, because I can’t tolerate all the talk on this subject. I have never been paid as an “abstinence spokesperson.” I was employed by the great people at The Candies Foundation.

From their site:

The Candie’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to shape the way the youth in America think about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy and parenthood. We are an operating foundation that develops and runs communication campaigns to raise awareness about our cause. Each year millions of teens are exposed to The Foundation’s message, which encourages them to delay pregnancy and shows the realities of teen parenthood. Our approach is unique: all of our ads feature celebrities that teens can relate to and speaks to them directly using their own language. We go beyond raising awareness; our goal is to influence teen culture.

In other words, they are a teen pregnancy prevention non-profit and I worked for them when I was 18 and 19 — when I could share first hand the challenges of being a teen mother.

“I am pregnant. This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance. This is more confirmation on what I’ve always stood for. I’ve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now,” Palin said at the end of her rant. “Deal with it.”

In 2009, after giving birth to her son Tripp, Palin pledged to renew her commitment to remain abstinent until marriage — a vow she faithfully kept until she felt like having sex. “I’m not going to have sex until I’m married,” Bristol told In Touch magazine at the time. “I can guarantee it.”

“It’s a realistic goal for myself,” Palin told Oprah in a 2010 interview when asked about her abstinence pledge.

Perhaps this new child was planned. After all, she wanted to have more kids someday, right? Technically, she did want to have another child in her future.

…That’s a plan, right? Let’s give her that one.

But come on — she was never a paid abstinence spokesperson? You’d have to be pretty stupid to buy that one — which means conservatives will be eating it right up.”

Maybe Bristol didn’t want to be known for being an abstinence spokesperson but she was and she was paid for it.

Posters here lauded her take on no sex before marriage even though she was a teen mom. They lauded her on her coping with raising a child without being married to the dad. And yet again they are glossing over the fact that she’s had another child by a different father and unmarried. They were ok with her stints on various reality tv shows.

This is a problem with holding any human up as role model especially a teen (and now 25 yr old) just because she’s the kid of some politician we like.

What I think of her: She was a teen girl who made a mistake as many do and had a baby with a boy who wasn’t ready to be a dad or husband. It’s been happening since the beginning of time. Then she became a reality tv personality and craved fame and all the attention that came with it and became a spokesperson that “conservatives” looked up to for some reason. She then had another child by a different father and still isn’t married.

Tell me again why I’m supposed to think she’s any different from any other reality tv personality, such as any of the Kardashians?

Tell me again where I lied.

Well, let's see.....One mentions Jesus and says they've made mistakes and the others are famous for sex video's and twisted family members that aren't sure what sex they are.

I thought a FReeper would know the difference.

Those are all from when she was a TEENAGER when she said that.

You are claiming she is still getting paid/promoting abstinence

She only was with Candies as a TEENAGER.

She is 25 Years old,she hasn’t been a TEENAGER in 6 years

Now show me in these last 6 years where she promoted abstinence and was getting paid for it.
