Many of us have been waiting for this. More like 3 dudes talking than the epic take down reviews of the prequels.

I want Mr. Plinkett to rave about how it’s basically just A New Hope, but with a chick.

I just saw it with my college aged daughter, she liked it, I think it`s plot is amazingly shallow and contrived, not to mention a rehash.

Rehash, huh? Sounds like the Bond franchise. Or did Lucas "write" the script himself, or with some avant-garde newbie?

Lucas has been trashed before for foregoing actual writers in the development process.

OTOH, between the demands of BHO's DOJ, the cultural marxists, and the demographic of where the money is, there's little need to put out a quality product.

Personally, after the third one, I lost interest.

I LOVE these guys. Redlettermedia and Half in the Bag are appointment viewing at my house.

For those that don't know, it's a movie review show mixed with (mostly) deadpan comedy.

I can't recommend it enough.

There is some language, so if you're one of those grown adults that blush when you hear a word stronger than "darn," go back to Bible school and let the rest of normal society have some fun and enjoyment in life.

The Force Awakens is not a very good film. Sorry folks. I loved the original movies as much as anyone (saw all of them when they actually came out). The Force Awakens is utterly constrained by, and slavishly subservient to, the original trilogy. Little to no character development, nothing remotely original, no emotion, no real excitement or exhilaration, no compelling villains... Even the music was tepid.

It was like a bowl of regurgitated cream of wheat, with no salt, raisins, or sugar: bland, cold, and without any appreciable texture. And I’m not even getting into the weak/absurd plot devices, heavy-handed and unnecessary references to the original trilogy, etc.

Seriously, there are a lot of people trying desperately to convince themselves that this film is good. It isn’t. It isn’t Phantom Menace (thank God), but it still isn’t good, not by a long, long shot.

Well the part about ripping off ‘Episode III: A new hope’, sure, death star and all.
