Have you read Matt Bracken’s prediction of what a Constitutional Convention would probably look like?
It’s in either the second or third book of his original trilogy (third/Blue, if I recall correctly).
There is a Cleansing coming, and it will be Old Testament in scope and nature.
What Bracken describes is certainly possible along with whatever the feds do to strong-arm local state legislatures. Cutting off federal money to states that are in non-compliance usually brings a wayward state to heel. They also do not defy SCOTUS - and right there we already know that whatever it decrees is considered “law” and a ‘done deal’ - even though in reality it is not.
But perception is reality - and so are big lies told often enough that the truth is regarded as false and whatever the masses are told is believed to be the truth.
I mean, I hear folks say that hijacking an Article V process is impossible because 2/3 of the state legislatures are never going to go along with whatever the Left wants- except just look at what was done over the Confederate Flag flap and tell me that state legislatures and mobs of activists cannot do aha they want anyway?
The rule of law is DEAD in this country. What we have now is the post-Constitutional Fascist era preceding despotic tyranny being imposed on the masses. Economic to start, then chaos, then by force.
All we have now is guns to our heads to force compliance to whatever the Beast at Mordor on the Potomac demands, and we lie to ourselves that we are still free.
Our own Representatives know where the power is going to lie once this coup we suffered is complete - which is why they keep handing more power to the Dictatorial Executive and refuse to uphold their oaths while scheming and crafting legislation in secret and passing behemoth laws of thousands of pages without a single legislator reading the contents before voting them into “law”.
Still we lie to ourselves that this is America and the Constitution is still the supreme law of the land.
It’s not. And DC and the Ruling Class tells us and reminds us every day that it doesn’t.
