That was a video shot through a window when the people in the building thought it was a drill. I remember seeing it a couple of times. There were three people in camo running toward the building.

Saudi Arabian diplomat retrieved him and they returned to Saudi Arabia.
Lied to? There is definitely a “fog of war” in all these situations. But, I wasn’t “lied to.” I spoke to the LEO who stopped the brown Chevrolet pick-up truck whose driver matched the John Doe description for the person associated with McVey.
To this day, neither McVey (the SOB is d-e-a-d dead)or Nichols has revealed more than the mere minimum about the facts of this bombing.
I am not a conspiracy nut, but living in the immediate area of the bombing and have contacts in law enforcement brings lost of interesting facts that never saw the light of day.
