But "common sense" sounds pretty, doesn't it? That will definitely fly with the LIVs as Limbaugh calls them.

Funny how you don’t seem to hear about these things happening in places like Vermont or Maine. People up in my country seem to like lecturing about the yahoos and bigots in Texas and elsewhere in the Southern or Western U.S., yet fail to take into consideration an area of the United States that is within a few hours’ driving time from Montreal or Ottawa or Toronto where the laws are in some cases more permissive than in Texas and where there is hardly any crime.
Common sense gun law.
Any man too dangerous to own a weapon is a man too dangerous to walk the streets.
“Common Sense Gun Laws” are the left’s foot in the door so they can keep moving the goal posts at a later date
/to liberals “common sense gun laws” means that the only government goons and criminals have guns.
This is what “Common Sense Gun Laws” mean to Hillary and OTrauma:
A complete confiscation of all firearms, ammunition, and accessories. Seizure and destruction of all firearms and ammunition manufacturers. Death penalty for possession of any firearm or sharp knife. Erasure of all information in the public sector about firearms. Felony charges for talking about firearms on the internet.
You know, “Common Sense Gun Laws”.
Check your demographics in the areas you note.
Every time common sense gun laws is mentioned, I want someone to counter with “common sense abortion laws”.
Fact is, these are the exact polar opposites in today’s political discourse.
They oppose our common sense for the same reason we oppose their common nonsense.
Incrementalism. We can’t give an inch. Neither can they.

‘Common Sense Gun Laws’ are easy for the sane to understand. They allow more good guys to carry guns and shoot back. They provide facilities where they can easily and conveniently train. They provide trainers.
Simple. What the world needs is stop training people to be good little victims and teach them to shoot back effectively.
It means be damned the Constitution, we need “CHANGE” for a post America world.
I’ve yet to meet a liberal DemocRAT who has any common sense. They were all dumber than a box of rocks.
The phrase “Common Sense Gun Laws” means exactly one thing, and that is the person pushing them is afraid of law abiding citizens being capable of defending themselves effectively.
And the reason this is what it means is because the only people who obey laws are law abiding people.
So since they are telling us who exactly it is that they fear by uttering that phrase, the only question is why exactly do they fear law abiding citizens capable of defending themselves effectively?
The answer to that question is obvious.
Doesnt mean anything except surrendering more,of your right to self-defense.
Criminals have proven they ignore the laws. And any new ones dreamed up. Even “common sense” (sic) ones.

The one that makes the most sense to me is to indicate on a person’s driver’s license whether or not they are allowed to own a guy. A relatively easy national agency check (and touching base with the mental health professionals) should screen out the unfit. It would be illegal to sell a gun to anyone without checking their driver’s license (and making a copy for your records) and there would be STIFF penalties for illegally transferring a weapon, fraudulent use of a driver’s license, or any other violating the law. Since driver’s licenses are renewed periodically, that should catch the ones who sneak through the cracks.
anytime I see “Common Sense” associate with any law, I immediately think “oh great, another end run around the Constitution”
Well, I heard that idiot Barry going on about how you can be on a “no-fly list” but still buy a gun.
Really? You can be on a no-fly and pass a NICS background check at the gun store. Or gun show?
We need a new NICS check then, because that is on thing I am proud of. I passed. Now I can, and have many times, walk into a store or show and plop down my greenbacks and walk out with a new Glock, or Colt or whatever makes my nipples hard.
I make a point of doing it at least twice a year, just to piss off the ‘turds.
