No the snake's name wasn't Pete, but you are really close. My friend gave the snakes people names like "Joe, Henry, etc...," but no Pete.

If men are showing more attention to some oddball girls, it’s because they think they are easy. With some question over exactly how the article is defining non-conformist, that's pretty much it. And visible tattoos are usually a pretty reliable early detection method. :)

IMO, that quality describes a woman who takes pleasure in her femininity...one who doesn’t starve herself to stickness, nor eat herself to fatness, but prefers normal female curves, and she likes men and enjoys their company.
I guess that IS pretty non-conformist these days...
