“Georgia now enters a crowded coaching market with few high-level candidates. One would have to believe it at least had some feelers before putting Richt out, otherwise this would be an epically stupid move.”

Or not like sodomites in the lockerroom with normal men.

“Mark Richt deserves better, and some school is going to hire a real gem.”

No kidding!!!

Thank God he had a winning record. No telling what they would have done if he had a losing record!

Kentucky may have a new one as well after the debacle of yesterday’s game.

Kentucky doesn’t care about football. They are a basketball school. That’s why Bear Bryant left.

Smart has been one of the names tossed around as a possible/hopeful replacement to Spurrier at Carolina.

Has to be some PC reason he was fired. He was a winning coach.

I lived in Athens for 10 years. Dog fan. The SEC is loaded with great talent. Unless you are Bama, you are going to have problems. Next year UGA will be replacing most of its offensive line. The team has got lots of running backs and E. Holyfield’s kid for next year. Go dogs. Hopefully CMR will take a year off and then get a job that respects him.

It wouldn’t bother me if the GA Mark took over for the KY Mark.

Jim Donnan is available, and they wouldn’t even have to pay moving expenses. Ray Goff is probably available, as well. Steve Spurrier probably should top the list. Petrino was doing pretty well at Arkansas. And Mike Leach had a good program at Texas Tech.

Other possibilities would include Willie Fritz.

hey rocket scientist, get your favorite school to hire him. Be satisfied with beating the weak sisters each year to accumulate that 9 or 10 win season while losing to the big three most every year, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama when they roll around. With what we pay to go to those games, damn right we want to win championships. No get back to killing trees.

Ray Goff fell into the abyss after his battle for $$$ when UGA fired him...that was a strange one as even Donnan surfaced as an announcer before his legal issues...

UGA has a football team?

I thought it was just a little Ag college in Athens.

Learn something new!

(I think the problem was that they only JUST beat Georgia Southern.)

One of the most ethical and Christian influences in the SEC is now gone. I guess winning 9 or 10 games a year for eternity is not good enough for win at all cost crazed fans. Go in peace Coach Richt. Although I have never been a Georgia fan, your faith has stood out amongst the crowd!

I HATE this.

Coach Richt is a great man and we had a really good recruiting class lined up, new facilities coming on line and a D that was getting stronger and stronger.

Our opponents are overjoyed.
