Seems to me you are the liberal denying property rights to humans and handing them over to wild animals. Give much to the Sierra Club?
I detest your kind and their “wild animals over people” statements.

Maybe you are in the wrong place. Here we support property rights. For humans, that is.

Further coyote and wolf are simply vermin to be eradicated. Only the agenda 21 folk want them proliferating in rural areas.

My dog is a Siberian Husky, and I always go with her when she goes outdoors-no matter the size of my dog, I wouldn’t have a pet door out here, or leave an unscreened door open-you can hear the coyotes howling in the woods on any given night, and I saw the fresh tracks of a mountain lion when I was hiking near the river this morning.

Wild animals learn very quickly that soft, plump pets that are clueless about predators and are running loose in yards in the country are a convenient source of fast food-in the burbs in Cali and some other states they are not even afraid of people anymore...

Thank you. I hate vermin pests, coyote and wolf. Both are best dead.

I think the dogs were defending and alerting. One gave her life and being eaten alive is not the most painless way to go. Poor girl.

Here in California (near San Jose), it isn’t just coyotes eating pets.

I'm in South San Francisco. There used to be over a dozen feral cats in the neighborhood that would frequent my back yard. All but one disappeared recently in a short period of time. There were many reports of a wolf in the neighborhood, one time seen on my block. Likely the wolf got all the feral cats. Similar thing about other animals, used to get dozens of racoons, some 'possums and skunks going through our back yards. They started disappearing also with just a few remaining.

A couple years ago my neighbor's golden retriever was attacked by a hawk, which tried unsuccessfully to carry away the dog. Dog got some nasty wounds on her back that had to be stiched up. So yes, human populated areas are seeing an influx of predators not so afraid of humans. Message is to keep toddlers and babies safe from them.

Coyote have no habitat period. Nothing to be infringed upon. They are vermin pest and should only be killed.

Did you bother to read the last paragraph of my Post?

Just in case you didn’t understand it, I was mocking the Lagunatic for his catch and release Liberal fantasy regarding Coyotes. Did you catch my implication that the Pests should be shot? Apparently not.

We have Coyotes in our Neighborhood as well. I understand what they are. Unfortunately, if I decided to shoot one in my Yard I would be arrested for discharging a Firearm in the City limits.

This is CA, not one of the Free States.

There is a reason for larger numbers of predators. It is called Rewilding - part of agenda 21. Increased predation is deliberate, malicious, and under the control of puke liberal groups like The Sierra Club.

Happens all the time at our dog park. Some stupid owner thinks it’s okay to have their chihuaha play with the big dogs. Usually ends with a yelp, a crying kid and a screaming owner.

Yeah sorry, this is my current passion. I apologize if I over reacted.
Wolves are coyote are sierra club liberal scum, to paraphrase a Peta saying.

I hate them all. I see how they are truly destroying America.
Especially the west.

The Liberals here demand action, as long as it doesn’t involve a Rifle.

I knew we had Coyotes here when we bought the House. I remember we had a new Neighbor come by to ask us if we saw their missing Pet Cat that they let out of the House.

By that time we knew that the Cat was a Coyote snack, but we just told them we would keep an eye out for it. They didn’t have a clue and sharing the truth wouldn’t help. His Wife was distraught that the Cat had gone missing.

Like I said, this is CA. Clueless is as Clueless does.

There is no way that coyotes need to be in cities or burbs-they don’t naturally belong there, but they are smart enough to exploit an easy food source, whether it is garbage or pets that happen to be left outdoors.

I was brought up on a ranch, dislike cities and so I live in a remote area. Putting trash in a sturdy, locking container and keeping my dog and cats indoors has always been second nature to me since I live in the country-out here the wild animals still avoid humans as long as there are no pets and trash easily available nearby-something that people should understand if they want to live near/in a place where there are wild animals.

I am not a liberal-just someone accustomed to living in a place that has few people and is nothing like a city-there are only about 18,000 people in this entire county, and the largest town has less than 1000 of them...

I’m glad there are no bears in this part of the state-I’d need a locking metal dumpster for trash then...

The cry of a human infant is one of the best predator calls out there. I was told that by a professional hunter. I searched it and sure enough.

I’m farther down the peninsula from you. We used to see the occasional possum and lots of raccoons in the yard, too. But, one that you mention it, I haven’t seen any of them in years. Plenty of squirrels, still.
