MADISON, Wis. (AP) â It looks like Gov. Scott Walkerâs gun deer hunt is a bust, at least so far.
Walker spokeswoman Laurel Patrick said he hunted on Sunday and Monday. He tweeted Sunday that he was âlooking for a buckâ in Vilas County and posted a picture of snow-covered woods. He tweeted again Monday that he was âback at it,â with another picture of snow-dusted trees. Later Monday he tweeted that it was snowing but his view was amazing and included another picture of the woods.

Methinks the deer are all going to live for another day on this place, unless the winter is harsh.
We signed the papers and gave permission for a young man to bow hunt here. But, he’s being a stay at home dad for a new baby, and he never seems to be out here at the right time. He sets trail cams and takes a lot of pictures, but he’s only here in the middle of the day. The deer cavort around here before 8 AM at after 3:30 pm. They are NOT out in the open at noon. LOL.
And the city has decided not to hire sharp shooters this year to reduce the deer population. So, all the people on the east side of town who think that it is cute to put food out on their patios are going to help increase the deer population.
