Ah, if I want to see a mob connected singer, I’ll go visit my cousin Edward.
He just doesn’t sing as well :)
Thank you for that link.
We’ve seen the Jersey Boys 3 times and I’m always amazed that they can find so many guys who can, not only, sing like Frankie Valle but look like him.
Great show.
I have never had the chance to see any of them live but I love the performances. I try to watch all that I find on the internet.
The Mob had lots of men who sang, right before they changed their identities and residences.
i wonder if witness protection is harder now with the internet.
I assume that information can be hacked just like anything else.
Congratulations to Jersey Boys.
Still a long way to go to catch The Phantom of the Opera. It opened on Broadway in 1988.
1981 for ‘Cats’ another perennial favorite of mine. :)
I’ve seen Jersey Boys twice - and saw the movie this past year - they did a pretty good job with that, too.
I’ve always loved live theater, especially musicals; you really get your $ worth of entertainment, IMHO.
It even has a long way to go to catch “ Chorus Line”, which is now #4 but was the longest-running show in history the night it closed.
The movie was quite good.
“Cats” is a favorite of ours too. It’s just about my wife’s favorite show. And I’m an Eliot freak, so it works well for me too.
Do you know about “Footlight Parade: Sounds of the American Musical”? Terrific show. If your local public station doesn’t carry it, you can get it at http://www.prx.org You have to register, but there is no cost.
Thanks! I’ll check that out. :)
Saw Jersey Boys twice on Broadway.
Incredibly good
We actually went to the movies (first time in many years) to see the film version. It was almost as good.
Watched it again on Amazon Prime; just as enjoyable as the first time we saw the movie.
I was born not far from the New Jersey locations depicted in the play / film.
A great story with great music and performances by all.
Five Stars
Mousetrap in London has been plying for DECADES and DECADES!!
