I've long wondered why no one has produced and distributed Unix-style man pages for Windows. Even if they only covered the utilities callable from the command line; that's still a lot of useful info.

I guess everybody is like me and puts up with the stupid "/?" minimalist "usage" stuff.

In Powershell you can use ‘get-help’ on any function or cmdlet. I’m also very fond of ‘gcm’ or ‘get-command.’ You can feed it a wildcarded string or pipe from it (e.g. ‘gcm *disk*’).

While I agree it’s not as convenient as a manpage, Windows wasn’t designed to be a CLI OS. There’s always Google University.
