I didn't like the term "Black Friday" at its inception and still don't like it for a number of reasons. I refuse to use it....and wish my fellow conservatives would eschew it, also.

It was foisted on us a couple years ago, and it was mindlessly embraced by sheeple who don't even know what it means....i.e., nothing at all except as an ugly term.

Except I wouldn't be surprised if the BLM movement will adopt the phrase from now on as a catchy title for its marching and rioting activities the day after every Thanksgiving.

i.e., nothing at all except as an ugly term....OH, POO-POO Ma’mselle. It means for the first time of the year the store/company has reached beyond being in debt to finally make a net profit.

Actually, “Black Friday” IS a legitimate term. It has to do with business PROFIT.

Through most of the year, most businesses are paying their taxes, wages, rent and other overhead and are still running “in the RED”.

The end of November is when all the bills and wages are finally paid up and the business has enough money in the bank for the rest of the year’s bills.

The business is now turning a profit (in the BLACK).

Race has nothing to do with it, and those who think that it does are showing their economic ignorance and hyper-sensitivity to imagined slights. Search “micro-aggression” for the necessary mindset.
