So let me get this straight.
The same people that tell us about how the “white man” Pilgrims came over and “stole” the land from the Indians, killed them with their guns, and gave them all manner of sickness to the “peaceful” natives...
Are NOW saying they were “refugees”, casting some sympathetic angle that they can then parlay into guilt-tripping people today into flooding the nation with Syrians?
The Pilgrims were Calvinists, so the lesson here is allow only Calvinists refugees to come to America. :-)

No entitlements, no expectations of health, when the pilgrims came over. Only to better their lives.
The same in the early 19 hundreds. The immigrants and refugees came to the United States to make a better life for themselves. There were no entitlements, no government handouts, no expectations other than the given the opportunity to succeed. It was a time when the United States needed population to increase to expand to its fullest capability.
Now we are faced with both legal and illegal immigrants coming to this country expecting a handout. Expecting entitlement. Expecting the government to take care of them. And we allow them to do so, and allow them to not assimilate into our culture...allow them to bring their cultures and rules, cultures which they flee, and maintain them in their communities.
They are not here to contribute to our society our culture our way of life. We no longer need the influx of labor.
The balkanization of America continues. And the result can be seen in Europe’s current situation.
And since they are all so mentally deficient, they all are so embarrassingly bad at it.

The ‘Pilgrims’ were of a denomination not attuned to the Anglican Church, nor the “holy roman church”.
In fact, a man named Tyndale (heard that name, have you?), was a member of this aggregate group, had been translating the bible into English, and publishing them for the common folks.
Yes, they were ‘refugees’, and yes, from political/religious persecution, unlike all those young, military age, in good health, mohameddan sojourners invading Europe now.
