‘Woe Be on Them’: Trump Campaign Lawyer Issues Warning to the RNC

An aide from the Donald Trump presidential campaign warned the Republican National Committee Tuesday against GOP donors pooling funds to coalesce his rivals against him, suggesting that Trump would reverse his pledge not to launch a third-party candidacy if he felt he was being treated unfairly.

Michael Cohen, who serves as special counsel to the billionaire Republican candidate, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that it would be a "bad, bad decision" for super PACs to unite against Trump’s candidacy.

"Donald Trump wants to be treated fairly," Cohen said sternly. "He will demand the GOP treat him fairly."

Cohen's comments came a day after Trump tweeted frustrations with the the Republican Party over former GOP strategist Liz Mair's proposed efforts to "defeat and destroy" the real estate celebrity's presidential bid.

"If they treat him fairly, he will honor the pledge because he’s an honorable guy," Cohen told Cuomo. "If they break that agreement with him, as they say, 'woe be on them.'"

Not sure Trump should do this, but it's good that Cohen is standing up on this issue.

It was necessary to make this statement.

Well, in that’s case it would seem that all the stars are aligning to elect Hillary just like they did for Bubba. Now I’m gonna’ go and throw up.

If the new & full of lies Kasich ad is any indication of what is coming from the GOP, Trump will need to get strong with these jerks. Truly disgusting...see for yourself:

I think if the GrOPE try to take Trump down he will still stand a good chance of being the next president.

Chances are the Kasich sore loser scheme will be good for Trump and bad for Kasich. If they are just going to run nasty ads of Trump’s past and with Democrat pals in business and politics in New Jersey and New York, then he has already plead guilty as charged.

Trump admits to everything! That is what is so breathtaking. But, he is a Republican, and there is plenty of his past demonstrating that fact, also.

We’ll see how the ads work, or not. If they make it too tight for victory, he splits to a Third Party. He is enough of a force to take plenty with him.

We have been coming to this point in the R Party for decades now. History is calling us to this unhappy event, it seems.

I heard the ad on Rush. This is the kind of ad that will cause a backlash against the makers. Kasich’s poll numbers will be at, square root of a minus one.

I can see this being a risky move, however Trump is well aware of the GOPe’s hatred of him and their tendency to play kingmaker to losers like Romney, McCain, Dole, and Jeb. The establishment hates us conservatives but knows many will just roll over and vote for whomever they decide they want (like Romney). I think they are underestimating just how many of us are fed up after 2012.

[ Well, in that’s case it would seem that all the stars are aligning to elect Hillary just like they did for Bubba. Now I’m gonna’ go and throw up. ]

Hillary is our era’s “James Buchanan” ie. “Miss Nancy” and “Aunt Fancy” as she is a Gay as hell but in the closet for Huma.

Buchanan was nominated by the Democratic Party in the 1856 presidential election.

This election in 1956 brought an end to the Whig party.

If Hillary get’s elected it will be followed by a civil war and the destruction of the current day “Whig” party ie. the GOPe.

History Repeats and/or Rhymes

I left the GOP over Romeny and the establishment. I am considering reregistering Republican just to vote for Trump in the primary, but if he goes 3rd party then I am with him, not the GOP and many of my Constitution party and independent conservative friends agree.

You are also correct about Trump being honest about his background, and that is very refreshing. Unlike Carson who dodged his recent ‘conversion’ to the GOP, Trump admits he has friends and has supported people on both sides.

Did Rush play the ad to make a point or did Kasich buy time on Rush?

I agree with you. It was necessary for a leader to lead with clear eyed state of affairs. We know the R Party is corrupt and full of Romney appointees and Establishment hacks and the Bush machine, Haley Barbour types, out of Mississippi (and we know how rough they play in Mississippi).

The RNC just gave the bad guys a pass with that statement of encouragement and the little lecture on free speech, which is undoubtedly true, but where is the RNC requiring pledges now from these gang of candidate donors against the frontrunner??

The RNC is long on adjudication when it suits their purposes, but where are their principles now? “Nothing to see here, rubes, just move along”.

It would be less gripping if it is a bluff, since Trump is blowing out everyone nationally on the Republican ticket. But, a leader has to lead and that means calling some hard shots.

“This is the time for all good men to the aid of their country”.

Good for you and your, reaganaut!

Really, it shouldn’t matter who the candidate is. Friends don’t let friends get hanged by a bunch of corrupt egalitarians without a fight from all.

We sit this out and we are not a Republic anymore, but truly puppets and slaves. Venezuela comes to mind.

GOPe has no problem with Hillary winning the presidency...there problem is with Trump winning the Republican nomination...because then they become irrelevant.
I think they want to force Trump into running third party...not sure though if Trump is prepared to spend that kind of money himself.

Rush played the ad to ridicule it, and back up Trump, saying how similar to the ads Jebby ran against Trump, and that those ads didn’t bring Jebby any success

I think its a good idea if for nothing else but good theater and to put people on notice. What I like about Trump is that he knows how to intimidate his opponent and the GOP-E are a cowardly bunch who don’t like one bit to have the light of day shined on them. They like dropping fake stories about someone dropping out and then have the media do their dirty work for them. So far that isn’t working this year. People have seen them lie and cave on so many issues and claim that if we only support the Mormon Superman or the War Hero McCain that we will win. Well we didn’t. We had a putz like Obama eat our lunch twice. This time I want a candidate who won’t let anyone eat our lunch and will bring whatever hell down on the head of that wench Hillary necessary to defeat her.
