Funny how we all seem to know that the skateboarder wasn’t taunting the now-dead man outside. Perhaps this kid deserved to be approached.
According to the article the junkie was taking swings at random passersby, starting pounding on the glass storefront, and then confronted the skateboarder.
“Perhaps this kid deserved to be approached.”
Say he skated rudely, flipped him the finger, and got away. He goes into Starbucks and sits. IT’S OVER.
The Ahole who came in was now the aggressor and was no longer acting in defense.
And now he got his bully lamp blowed out.
If you follow someone into a building and then act like you’re going to attack them it doesn’t really matter what they *said* to you outside.
If there was a problem outside the skateboarder disengaged and went inside and was followed. No matter what might have happened outside the dead guy was now the aggressor.
This is basic stuff.
