I love the circular logic of this knee jerk reaction. The Salon article which was a plant by the Everytown anti-gun group has a link to a GAO report to Congress. What is absolutely compelling is that in the GAO report on page 7 it talks about how when an instant background check is done by the FBI, they do look at the terrorist watch list. They then collect data to inform an FBI case agent to look into the person attempting to buy the firearm. So the current system results in good police work being done.
Oh course the Democrats are against that. Look at what they are doing to police forces around the counter with the new and improved Hope & Change (in-)Justice Department.
