A religious Zionist from a Jewish settlement on the West Bank told mourners on Saturday during the funeral of an Israeli father and son gunned down by Palestinian terrorists that the attacks in Paris were deserved due to what Europeans "did to our people 70 years ago."
The quote from Dov Lior, the chief rabbi of the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba, was first reported by the Walla! news agency.
"The wicked ones in blood-soaked Europe deserve it for what they did to our people 70 years ago," Lior said.

Their parents and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, babies, infants were butchered and gassed under the orders of European governments. You have a problem, Mr/Ms Cuban, with their being a little “touchy” about that? There were not a lot of survivors of what Europe did to millions of its best and brightest. Some who did survive live in Israel. They are living proof of the absolute need for the Jews to have their historic homeland, all the while keeping it a Democratic country with civil rights guarantees for all.
I am Jewish, and somewhat observant, and I say that this guy is wrong. The sins of the grandfathers and great-grandfathers should not be blamed on their descendants.
The descendants brought it on themselves by voting in ultra - liberal, Moose Limb loving and self-hating pols.
Jewish here, and there are plenty of ultra orthodox Jews who don’t believe the Israeli government is legitimate. Stupidity doesn’t surprise me, regardless of religious beliefs.

These attacks may be payback for the consistent bashing o Israel by France and the EU. The latest action of the EU is the hitlerite labeling of goods from Israel. These attacks came soon after the EU — including France — adopted their “don’t buy from Jews” policy. Payback from G-d maybe?
Europe will always hate the Jews. They would rather live under Islam (and the will) than partner with Israel. Any negativity we Jews send antisemitic France/eu’s way is a good thing because sympathy will not change the antisemitic thought process of the majority of the Europeans.
Sure, I am aware of European anti-Semitism. But does that really excuse what this guy was saying? Did these people deserve to be slaughtered because of bad things that their ancestors may or may not have done?
