What song do you sing to yourself?

So I'm walking around the house singing The Animals, "House Of The Rising Sun" to myself. And I wondered what other FReepers sing to themselves...

Nice!

I caught an earworm with “Radioactive” and it keeps bubbling up:

If you have a little girl, the song is “Let It Go” (Frozen).

Truly that is a version that will live forever. It’s just as good every single time you hear it as it was the first time, an amazing rendition.

If you are not familiar you should search for their “deep track” take on St. James Infirmary, I had the album it was on or else I’d never know if it. It’s a great version, but I’ve never heard it, even one time, on the radio. I think you can find it on youtube.

In answer to this original question I sing a lot of songs to myself, they get stuck in my head. This week it’s been “the boys in the hood (are always hard)” but not the original rap version, the sing-song version some white guys did. I’m sorry I can’t remember their name, I love it, it’s so silly and just hilarious.

To myself?

“How Great Thou Art”

The emotional range is WAY beyond any popular or secular song. I imagine myself as Elvis Presley doing it.

Nobody else can hear what is inside my head.

One Ton Tomato

I can't remember the original words. I think they are in Spanish.

My little girl is 25 and getting married in six weeks. But she still likes “Let It Go”.

Me, too. When I’m driving in my truck running errands, I usually sing or hum or whistle the last song I heard on the CD I was playing at the time when I got out of the truck. . Usually it’s a Sinatra song. Today it was Nat King Cole.

I lived for awhile in a small town in upstate New York a couple decades ago with only one radio station. So everyone went around humming the same song.

Lately, “Wichita Lineman” - Jimmy Webb’s lyrics hold a personal meaning re: a very, very special woman.

“And I need you more than want you
And I want you for all time”

In the studio, Glen played a 6-string bass for the solo that he borrowed from “Wrecking Crew’s” Carol Kaye who was also in the studio.
