While I think Christ and the apostles were probably Mediterranean, there are iconoclastic paintings that go way back that possibly shows them as black.

Given that the area was part of the Hellenistic world since the days of Alexander the Great, it’s not beyond the pale of possibility. However, no contemporary reports call him a blonde.

He’s been described as with reddish hair and grey eyes or golden colored hair if you trust the sources.
