I saw the cold opening before Donald show up

I think Larry David going be Tina Fey in this election cycle what Tina Fey was to Sarah Palin

Larry David is this to Bernie Sanders

SNL need new writers. Trump’s opening and skits were not funny.

I agree. But Larry David was really funny as Bernie Sanders.

Enjoyed Trump’s bits but the rest, meh.
I rolled over and went to sleep about the unfunny `Drunk Uncle’ skit.
The scary part is, I was reminded for a moment about my grandparents watching the movie, “Looking For Mr. Goodbar’ with us on TV.
Finally Gramps turned to my Dad and said, “I have no idea what’s going on here. We’re going to bed.”
It also reminded me of why I stopped watching the show sometime in the early `90s. The missus (a former comedian booking agent) and I insist upon comedy in humor shows.

Great seeing Ed Grimley ((Martin Short) appear. Of course, there was Donald, but to miss Gilda and Phil (Hartman) The newer cast members (know little about them) leave me cold. Terrible cast and musical guest no better. If not for Trump, SNL would have not been seen last evening. SNL - Those were the good old days.

Just watched the monologue. Haven’t seen anything else yet, but I thought the monologue was decent. Funny. Not rolling on the floor funny, but humorous, like what you’d expect from a tonight show monologue or something similar.

Those who don’t like SNL probably didn’t like it. Those who do, probably did.
