What was that Yellow/Blue Hair Singing Act on SNL?
Self | November 8, 2015 | PJ-Comix

Okay, so what the hell was that bizarro world singing act on SNL last night? Was it a comedy skit or a real singing act? A face almost completely covered with yellow and blue hair and nearby another yellow/blue hair being acting as if on an acid trip.

I think the name of the act was Cia or was it Chia as in Chia Pet. Do people actually PAY to see/listen to this act?

Distraction due to lack of talent.

The information I found on Google said she’s 39 years old, and the pictures showed an ordinary face. Obviously this is her gimmick.

Gotta have a gimmick. Didn’t hear her sing but assume the gimmick is in lieu of talent.

Gets the hoity toity art crowd. Reminds me of the “art” downtown Philly that someone paid a fortune for. It’s a giant clothespin, no seriously, it is.

Good thing about the face covering is she doesn’t have to worry about faking lip synching

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner!

This chick is probably a studio sensation and couldn't carry a tune in a paper bag...without Autotune, that is.

I have watched SNL since the beginning. Last nights music segment was actually better than usual, IF you could not watch those weird women.

The singer sounded OK but to watch was painful. SNL should just drop the music segment, is always horrible!

“I had the same thought. I don’t remember that character’s name, but know it’s from Cosby/Fat Albert.”

Dumb Donald. Kinda Ironic?

Didn’t use to be—I remember performances by Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Ricky Nelson, Robert Plant and others from years back. Maybe the problem is the state of the music industry today. [turn off old fart mode]

Sia easily 'trumps' the host in blue blazer and giant bow as she belts out two Adele 'reject' songs on Saturday Night Live

In the history of all artistic endeavor, whether acting, singing, dancing, painting, sculpture, cartooning, miming and the like, there are artistes who do the conventional, the traditional, the bizarre, the outrageous, the spoofing, the serious, the funny, the mocking, the un-conventional, the outlandish, the un-explainable and the stupid.

The SNL bi-polar-wig act was any one of the above entertainment forms you care to choose depending on what rings your bell...keeping in mind there are different strokes for different folks in the cultural and entertainment worlds.

An act is not bad just because YOU don't like it, nor is it good just because YOU like it.

I rather enjoyed the number, the singer's voice and styling was good, the "costume" was interestingly way-out from the humdrum, and the music had a good beat.

For those who can't tolerate any unexplicable deviation from the norm in the artistic world, it's probably best they never visit a Salvador Dali museum...his bizzaro genius would cause a genuine meltdown and gnashing of teeth upon viewing his works.

I thought she would have done better just singing. It wasn’t as bad as the thing rolling around on the floor while she sang. It was distracting...and REALLY weird!
