Wrong. It does matter if the defender forces him out or not. If the DB by foul or force causes a WR to exit the playing field the WR has to reestablish himself to make the catch legal. The replay booth reviewed whether or not he was touched before going out. If he wasnt it would be an incomplete but replay showed contact.

Aaaah, yes - if it was a pre-catch out of bounds call, that is exactly correct, except there would be a 5 yard penalty on the receiver for illegal touching if he was not forced out or did not properly re-establish himself inbounds. Furthermore, the receiver must re-establish himself inbounds as soon as possible.

I thought it referred to a post-catch OB question. In that situation, different from the NFL, whether or not the defender forces the receiver out after the catch but before he touches in bounds, does not change the call. The defender could legally carry the receiver from the middle of the field, after a catch and before touching the ground, and dump him OB for an incomplete.
