Is Iowa in the Ozarks?

Well, regardless, that should be a good game, lacking the luster it would have had if our record was better. But the Huskers of old just may surface for the Hawkeyes...

I’m sure you’ll beat Minnesota and Purdue and will come in to the game undefeated, but if I were a Hawkeyes fan, I’d be very wary of the Huskers. Down and bruised, like a wounded bear, we might just give you an epic game after rediscovering some passion and pride last night.

The Huskers are still wearing that Red ‘N’ on the helmet, the very same one that’s been on it for 45 years, and we still bleed Husker Red.

(And no, the red N does not stand for knowledge as our rivals loved to say!)

I’m from a Hawkeye era when they couldn’t whip the Sisters of Mercy...

Our turnaround was when eastern Iowa became part of Texas, stamped Hayden Fry. Consider all the great coaches that were his assistants.

Why Nebraska didn’t stick with a winning coach is beyond me.

I think the Hawkeyes are real this year. Beating Northwestern was a convincer. Also, they kind of wilted in Saturday’s 3rd quarter but gutted it up.
