Liberals need their safe spaces.
Liberals in the media do not want people to know theirs is the minority view.
Alinsky’s rule book said to make people feel they are alone and isolated. And ‘wrong’.
oh good! Just in time to make sure we don't have to read the nasty all those comments from those nasty Europeans about how their countries are being sold out to a satanic cult. Nobody wants to hear those nasty cry babies anyway.
Isn’t this idea the OPPOSITE of “progress”?
If any weenie LIB is reading this: Remember...you suck.
This is not about somebody somewhere being offended by some comment by someone else. This move would be so Anti-progress, including financially, that one has to wonder what the real purpose of it might be.
I pose that it is to make it harder for Americans to learn what is taking place in Europe right now, which we all now is coming for our country next!
The Left are no more nasty and vitriolic than they were 40 years ago. What is happening is that the Right are realizing that this ain’t no conversation...it is war.
“The Internet was supposed to facilitate better exchange between the public and news media. But vile and hateful comments changed all that.”
And as a followup, beatings will continue until morale improves.
This is exactly what the Huffington Post has done. To comment, you have to be a registered member and you get monitored on Facebook. Anyone who strays from the leftist plantation is banned.
The comments section can be entertaining!
>>>In my local paper they went away from anonymous logins to using FB login. I noticed a rapid decline in vitriolic comments. When people realize other people can see who they are, they clean it up.<<<
Oh shoot, I have to clean up my Comments? Just darn.
So even the hipster douchebags at Vice have decided they don’t like comments on their articles?
They are the same site that created ‘Do’s and Don’ts” fashion smears of random people photographed on the street with all sorts of snippy critique.
I guess they can’t take it.
Plus the media hates it when you point out their errors and biases.
I come to FR to comment (and read comments) on articles I run across from elsewhere anyway.
That is up to you FRiend.
That "exchange" used to consist of letters to the editor which that editor had the ability to alter at will and printed only as a sop to the lumpenproletariat. That isn't exactly what I'd call a fair exchange.
Heat. Kitchen. Get the hell out.
I got banned from TED talks once for calling a certain lecture left-wing & distorted. While I enjoy their science & technology lectures, I can't stomach anything of theirs in the humanities or social sciences.
A while ago I had another FReeper get upset at my use of the term “Illegal Invader”.
Thank goodness I’m anonymous here. LOL
I refuse to read any content that is not followed by reader comments.
If their are no comments, it is merely one-sided, leftist propaganda.
